21 AI tools you probably haven't used yet (no papers, waitlists or ChatGPT)
Save time, and have fun with this list of personally tested great tools
This week, we are going deep by going wide. There are tons of great AI tools coming out every day and I have tested over 100 of them to find the gems. π
The rules for getting on this list are:
Real tools, not papers, or demos.
No waitlists. You can use them today.
Personally tested, or direct knowledge of a trusted test.
So here are 21 tools that are not ChatGPT that can help you save time, create art, or just have fun.
D-ID
Create talking faces from just a photo. π https://www.d-id.com/
D-ID takes images of faces and turns them into high-quality, photorealistic videos. They look very good with mostly realistic mouth and teeth and movement.
Photoroom Background Remover
Auto remove backgrounds from images π https://www.photoroom.com/background-remover/
I have tested a lot of background removers. Photoroom Background Remover is the best one. And you can get started for free.
Murf

Convert text in to natural-sounding speech and download as MP3 and WAV audio files.
Synthesia.io
Talking avatar videos. π https://www.synthesia.io/
You enter your script and it creates the voice using text to voice, then the video of the virtual actor talking. I think it looks a bit creepy, but some virtual YouTubers are using them. And for boring training videos it might be useful.
DeepBeat
Rap lyrics AI generator π https://deepbeat.org/
DeepBeat helps you generate rap lyrics. It is free, and surprisingly fun to use.
Boomy
AI generated music. π https://boomy.com/
I have written a lot about AI music and it is not amazing yet. Sometimes AI music sounds like you put a piano through a shredder.
But Boomy songs sound nice. They are a bit generic, but they are easy to make, unique, and donβt sound terrible.
You can send your song to all major streaming services.
Descript
AI powered video editing. π https://www.descript.com/
You can edit your video by editing text. If you delete a word in the transcript, it will cut that word out of your video.
You can even clone your voice to insert words you missed.
Midjourney
Text to image generator. π http://midjourney.com/
Midjourney makes awesome images. I wrote a whole post about how to use it. You get a bunch of free image generations, you should try it today.
Blue Willow
Free text to image generator. π https://www.bluewillow.ai/
Compares itself to Midjourney but it is free instead of paid. Uses Discord as the interface. Try it out, it is not bad, and a free Midjourney competitor.
AssemblyAI
Audio to text. π https://www.assemblyai.com/
Transcription, Speaker Detection, Summarization, and more.
It is an API so you can use it in your products, but you can use their demos to save time and test it out.
Adobe Premiere Scene Detection
You might be surprised to see Adobe on this list. But they can use AI as well. Their scene detector in Premiere is very helpful. You can upload a video and it will automatically break it up into clips that you can then delete, re-arrange etc. If you are editing something that was already editing (YouTube video to TikTok etc) this can save a ton of time.

With Poly
Text to 3D texture. π https://withpoly.com/

LumaLabs
Video to 3D scene. π https://lumalabs.ai/
Imagine walking around a room with your phone recording it. Then later on your phone or computer, you have a 3d representation of the room. You can rotate, zoom around. Go under the table, fly up to the ceiling. It is pretty cool what users are creating with Luma.
Scribehow
Auto generated how to articles. π https://scribehow.com/
Save time by having the computer write your step by step instructions. Hit record, do the task, and Scribehow writes the steps with images on how to do what you just did. Anything you do in a browser can be recorded.
Supermeme.ai

By the way, can you recommend an AI image tool that can incorporate text into the image? Most seem not so good at this...
Very useful thanks for sharing this!
